Tom Platts
British male Vocalist, Songwriter, and Saxophonist
Steeped in the american vocal jazz tradition
"Tom has such a variety in the mediums he can express himself through music"
“Tom Platts delivers a brilliant concoction of jazz with a soulful edge. There were multiple moments throughout the set where you could feel the room tuned in, and he held them in the palm of his hand. I would love to watch him again!”

About
“Tom is a talented and exciting jazz musician. He has a mellow and rich tone, and is an expressive and charismatic saxophonist. He both moved us and got us dancing out of our seats!” (The National Liberal Club)
Tom’s childhood was full of classical music, and he’s now a complete jazzer. He left his parents’ home at 8-years-old to be a Canterbury Cathedral chorister. As a normal childhood was interrupted, a mission to spread joy through music and performing began.
Tom’s singing, writing, and sax playing shines from a deep place in his heart. The euphoria of swingin’ jazz, the intoxication of a Brazilian bossa rhythm, and the expressivity of a saxophone ballad captures his soul and audiences’ alike.
PROJECTS
All underpinned by Tom's jazz vocals
“Tom Platts has an unbeatable jazz tone, fantastic vocals with a huge range – backed with incredible songwriting too. You can hear the deep, and highly technical influences that bring Tom’s work together, and there’s a raw authenticity to his songs that makes the set very moving.” (Underground Sound)
He takes his jazz vocal-saxophone sets to venues around London and beyond with a sound influenced by Sinatra, Chet Baker, and the modern virtuosity of Kurt Elling – a big influence in Tom’s scat improvisation – plus saxophonists such as Sonny Rollins, Coltrane, and Paul Desmond.
Tom is a natural entertainer with a sharp wit – most evidently in his jazz-comedy show ‘Quite Frankly Sinatra’, exhibiting his impressions, character acting, stand-up comedy, and comedic takes on classic tunes.
Tom is producing a classic-modern EP of romantic and deeply reflective original songs to release later in 2025. He’s also preparing to tour ‘Quite Frankly Sinatra’ having successfully premiered it in June 2025.
